today jesse and i took luis to see planet 51 at the dollar theatre.
on the way there i drove, luis had shotgun, and
jesse was in the backseat...with the camera.
im not quite sure why he took a picture of me driving...
...or of the girl waiting at the light...
but he did. i know, random.
anyways...here's a quick synopsis of the movie:
Lem is just an average teenager working on getting the girl and furthering his career at the local planetarium - except that he's an alien. At least to U.S. astronaut Captain Charles T. Baker who lands on Lem's planet hoping for a quick flag plant and a hasty return to earth and his millions of screaming fans. But on this alien planet the media has tagged spacemen as brain-eating, zombie-creating monsters, causing Baker to run for his life and into Lem's house. Now it's up to the green native to get the clumsy astronaut back to his spaceship before military dictator General Grawl and mad scientist Professor Kipple manage to exterminate the Earthly visitor.
it was a cute movie and there were even a few funny parts.
as always, i tried to look for some kinda message
i could take from it...something i could learn.
and i took away 4 things:
1. dont judge people who are different...
...they're probably more similar than you think.
2. dont be full of yourself...
...this is HIGHLY unattractive.
3. dont be afraid of the unknown...
...just face it with optimism and courage.
4. everybody's got some "good stuff"...
...for some it takes a while to figure that out.
if you ever go watch it, let me know what you think. :)
