miracle of the sabbath

i believe in keeping the sabbath day holy. i also believe in not doing homework on sundays...sometimes this means making sacrifices. but with sacrifices always come blessings. :)

today i have a 5-page technical paper due about amplitude modulation. i wasnt able to do it on saturday which meant i had to wake up early this morning to do it. i went to sleep at 9 (or at least tried to) and woke up at quarter to 5. first i did my other homework. and then i started working on my paper. i prayed for help and asked for a special blessing for keeping the sabbath day holy.

and this is what i found in my inbox:

Dear Class:

Clearly the Clyde Building disruption has compromised your ability to complete the writing project by the due date (today). For example, several of you emailed me wanting to know what the requirements were -- the web page was down so you couldn't get the information. I couldn't get to the information either, so I couldn't help. Sure, I had some notes written down in my office, but the building was closed ...

Long story short: the due date has been moved to Friday 5 Feb. 2010. The web page has been updated to reflect this fact. I had to wait until this morning to even send you this email because the mail list server was also down ...

Good luck,

mdr--

isnt that amazing!? it was a miracle. :) god blesses us for keeping the commandments.

Those types of experiences happened to me time and time again when I was in college keeping the sabbath day holy, and being a husband, father, EQ Pres, employee, friend and neighbor. It was all worth it then and even more rewarding as a reflection. We share the same experiences. You can have confidence that Heavenly Father is please by the blessings that flow.
