the sweetest thing

it's been snowing almost ALL day. id say we've got a few inches on the ground. (but thats just a guess...really, i have no idea how much snow is out there. im not good at guesstimating measurements.) anyways, at about 5 or 6 o'clock i looked out the front window and saw an older (ish) man with a snow blower thingamabobber, clearing the sidewalk in front of and approaching my across the street neighbor's house. then he continued on down the street, clearing the sidewalk and walkways so people dont have to shovel it themselves. im assuming he did it out of the goodness of his heart. and i just thought it was the sweetest thing! when i went to the gym i noticed that he cleared the sidewalk all the way to chadders! i am grateful for kind old men like him. they make me wanna do nice things, just because. :)

p.s. is it good luck to have a deer in your back yard? if not, i think it should be. cuz today there were THREE deer in my backyard! ...i only got a picture of one before they all ran off. so what do you think? am i lucky!? :)

i think so! why not? :P

and i agree--i always appreciate people who do good things out of goodness... (in my neighborhood, i don't feel like there's that kind of 'brotherly kindness'... everyone kinda stays in their own world)

i am officially lucky.

Having good neighbors is a definite blessing. When i grew up most of our neighbors were not good neighbors.

That's a mule deer. Does it remind you of the two Nene geese that kept me company at the auction storage yard, remember?

lol. yeah, i remember...i cant say it reminded me of that though...:p

LOL...nene?? but anyways... i'd say you're lucky. because i saw some too! a whole herd of them. it was super pretty, and rather exciting (my first time with deer so close by). so if you're lucky, than so am i!
and as for kind old men, i think that was soooo cute! =P

where'd YOU see them???

once outside my window. but the one where i walked by them and saw the herd was by the bell tower.
