the blanket

this is my bed:

i always sleep with my quillow and my yellow blanket. those are actually the only two blankets i own. BUT, lately, those two blankets just havent been enough; its been too cold! we (meaning me and the roommies) like to keep the temperature at 67 deg cuz otherwise the electric bill is super high. (we're all about saving money!) so, we dont crank up the heater, and it gets pretty cold during the night. ...especially in my room! see that huge window next to my bed? yeah. its huge. and being right next to it is cold...

anyways, a few days ago i had a brilliant idea! :D you see that brown and black -ness on my bed? those are my winter coats! and since they're heavy, they create the perfect warmth during the night. and now i can sleep in peace. i was so excited the morning after my epiphany cuz i actually had a good night's rest! i felt pretty clever. :p AND resourceful!

now for the punch line: this morning i woke up to find a green blanket on top of my two winter coats. some time last night, my roommate covered me with one of her own blankets--after i had already gone to bed. isnt that so nice!? i just thought it was the SWEETEST, most THOUGHTFUL thing. i appreciated it so much.

p.s. MEAGAN wanted me to tell you all that i sleep on the TOP of a bunk bed. so just in case you were wondering why my window looks funny because it's so low, it really isnt. its just cuz i sleep on the top. :D
