write me!

dad asked ally to give the fhe lesson tonight, which happened to be the lesson she was studying from the yw manual: Sustaining Missionaries through Letters.

i thought it was a GREAT lesson, considering i will be one of those missionaries who will GREATLY appreciate letters!!

moral of the story: write me! please. and thank you. :)

my mother knew it

Happy Mother's Day!

Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them.
And they rehearsed unto me the words of their mothers, saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it.

Alma 56:47-48

today i gave a talk in church. i spoke about the time i knew that home can be a heaven on earth. and then i shared that the reason i knew this was true was cuz my mom knew it was true.

i do not doubt, my mother knew it. :)

my request

can i please marry a man? :)
i dont wanna marry a lad.
thanks.

oh, CROAK!

quick, who says that???

"snaps" for anyone who can name that voice!!! :p
LOL!

so here's the story.
the other day i asked dad how much gas prices were.
once he told me, the first thing that popped into my head was
oh, CROAK!

lol.

now THAT caught me offguard!
since when do i say that...!?
since NEVER!
but here i was, thinking those very words.
weird.

then today, mom asked rach to put a comforter in "another one of those ziplocs." my ears perked up. a comforter? in a ZIPLOC!?
really???
i wasnt sure if i was hearing that right.

and thats when rach walked over to the kitchen, grabbed a box from under the sink, and said, "yeah, these ones. the ones that mom spent a whole bunch of money on for what, three!?"

and it happened again!
...but this time i SAID it...with a smirk on my face!
"oh, CROAK!"
and we both laughed.

btw, in case you're curious, they were HUGE, i promise!!! check this out.

p.s. i also thought of josue...cuz thats when
my left kidney started to hurt.

blast from the past

tonight was the KIF championship game...
of course, i wanted to go. :)
so i went with ally.

it was so much fun! definitely quality volleyball.
well, maybe quality-ish. lol. (see below for the explanation.)
and some things never change... :p

dennis fujimoto is still taking pictures.

our cheerleaders are still the best on the island.
and rox is still the coach.

recognize these boys? they're still around too.
and i thought it was rather funny that they're all in the exact same position: leaning over, hands on knees. :p

miss e is still the announcer.

i dunno if you can tell, cuz we were sitting behind them, but wayne is still top reffing, peter cruse is still line reffing, mrs. niheu-yong is still bottom reffing.

(and i dunno the other girl.)

tony boy still likes to keep it simple: set the outside. and keep setting the outside. again. and again. and again. the WHOLE.ENTIRE.GAME. lol. (hence, my quality-ish statement. they play good but theres no real complexity in their plays.)

they still do the after-game hi-five line thing.

kapaa still has the same hail, hail, hail thee...the wood-lands shall echo, they shall ring as always... alma mater. (are you singing it in your head right now??? lol)

we still have the best alma mater. and they still start shouting all the way from "hail to thee our alma mater..." to the end.
and i still remember it. :)

and.....

last but not least....

and best of all.....

waimea high school is still winning KIF championship games!!!

OH yesss!
:)

the evidence

last christmas, meags gave me a set of 10 Thomas Kinkade puzzles.

i told her i would finish all 10 of them before leaving for my mission.

today was the day i kept my word! i finished the last of the 10. :)
see below for evidence.

all pau, meags!

being prepared

the closer i get to May 19th, the more excited i get.

god knows me, and he knows the best way to help me prepare.
i am definitely being prepared...its pretty cool. :)

today it was through a movie called The District.

it taught me the importance of planning.
it made me want to be an AMAZING missionary.
it gave me a sneak preview into mission life.
it showed me how rewarding the work can be.
it motivated me to decide now to work hard.
it made me excited to be a part of such a great cause.

most of all, it testified to me that this is god's work. this is his true gospel. he lives and he loves us. :)

seventeen more days...
