tonight i was walking home from the gym and i ran into my neighbor. she was on her way to the gym but we stopped to chat. first she asked me if i'd just come from the gym and if i have a membership at gold's. then she asked if i'd be okay with the two of us going to the gym together. she was pretty excited about it and kinda even seemed a bit anxious. of course i said sure, i wouldnt mind at all.
then she said, "you wanna know something?" and i said "sure." and she said "ive been praying to know how i can go to the gym more and god told me to ask you. i didnt even know if you had a membership. but your name is the one that came up."
i was shocked! well, kinda, but not really. kinda shocked because she received such a distinct, specific answer and followed through with it. i was very impressed. :) and not really shocked because god is god. and he is powerful, and kind, and loving. and he always answers our prayers.

WOW! kudos to you for trying to accomplish your goal and sticking to your regular routine of workout so that you could be an answer to someone's prayer! =)
:) thats cool!
neato.
what a cool story. Heavenly Father is pretty spectacular.
God does notice us, and he watches over us. But it is usually through another person that he meets our needs. Therefore, it is vital that we serve each other in the kingdom. The people of the Church need each other’s strength, support, and leadership in a community of believers as an enclave of disciples. In the Doctrine and Covenants we read about how important it is to “… succor the weak, lift up the hands which hang down, and strengthen the feeble knees.” (D&C 81:5.) So often, our acts of service consist of simple encouragement or of giving mundane help with mundane tasks, but what glorious consequences can flow from mundane acts and from small but deliberate deeds! (Spencer W. Kimball, “Small Acts of Service,” Ensign, Dec 1974, 2)
love that quote! :) thanks dad
1) I love Dad's quote
2) I was totally thinking about this very thing today as I was in the temple: Heavenly Father is so specific and personal
3) I'm glad you said yes to the girl. If you would have said you couldn't she wouldn't have told you that and you wouldn't have posted this post :)
2.what made you think of that?
3.so true! im glad too.
wo-freaky!!! cool, i like it! :D (ps ida cute, dad! lol)
i hope thats a good freaky and not a bad freaky.
and since when do you read other peoples' comments!? :p
so i had a neat experience too! i had been thinking about what to send jackie as she was preparing to go into the temple. like a simple text, a pick me up type thing and i finally sent it to her. well she had been super nervous and had been praying for an answer and as she was getting ready to spaz she read my text. she said she knew that was exactly what she needed to hear at the right time and knew it was like a tender mercy from God giving her the extra push to keep going. after that she was good. its interesting to be a part of someones prayer like that:)
good for you for listening to that prompting. :) you got to be an instrument in gods hands. i love that feeling.
